The Department of Forensic Morphology Annex is a sculpture on the grounds of the University of Washington campus created by Seattle artist Cris Bruch in 2004.

Other than with the proper tools and an official reason for doing so (like cleaning out the various things people might throw in there), there is no way to get inside this sculpture. I disassembled my camera, panhead & tripod setup and managed to reassemble it inside (ship in a bottle style) via the fairly tight openings you see in the picture that allow viewers to peek inside. The result is this cool VR that finally gives you entry to this now formerly forbidden Annex.

Last Saturday (June 27th), I went to check out the Artopia event in Georgetown. Here are some panoramas I shot earlier in the afternoon and during the Power Tool Races.

I have nearly completed trimming down the number of VR images within the VR Seattle Archive. Nearly 1,000 older VR images (dating back as far as 1996) have been removed from the site and will remain in offline storage indefinitely. These included nearly all older non full-screen VR images and various others that I felt no longer needed to be present within the archive.

Additionally, usage of Apple’s Quicktime as a viewer for the VR images within the VR Seattle Archive is also being phased out. From this point on, all interactive VR images on this site will utilize the Flash panorama player KRPANO. This change of players should be transparent to visitors of the site.

Last weekend on June 20th, the Moore Theatre hosted a community arts event entitled “Moore Inside Out“. Here are some panoramas I shot at that event. You can read more about “Moore Inside Out” here.

There were many artists presenting their work and performances throughout the theatre. Sorry that I could not photograph everything! Check out this Flickr Group Pool for many more photos taken of the event.

For many, many years the Fun Forest at the base of the Space Needle has provided rides, carnival games and other activities to visitors. Sadly, it will be closing for good at the end of 2009. Here are some new VR images I shot on a recent slow weekday afternoon at the Fun Forest. Will the Seattle Center ever be the same without it?
